Project context and challenges
Stelliant is a leading provider of insurance services, with a presence throughout France. Its teams in the Paris region were spread across three sites: Puteaux, Colombes, and Paris 9th arrondissement.
Upon taking office, the new CEO decided to consolidate these three locations into a single headquarters in La Défense.
The company chose to move into the Tour Légende, occupying a total area of 4,300 m² across three floors.
People and teamwork at the heart of this project
The primary motivation for this relocation was the desire to bring all employees together on a single site. Real estate leverage at the service of a people-centered project, to break down silos, foster synergies, encourage collaboration, and support teamwork.
This is reflected in the architectural design of the spaces, with particular attention paid to communal areas. The cafeteria and tea rooms offer cozy, home-like furniture, warm and pastel colors, and soft materials.
The workspace areas alternate between open spaces, closed offices, meeting rooms, and pods of all sizes. Designed for a seamless employee experience, despite the constraints imposed by the high-rise building, they maintain collaborative work, whether more or less formal and more or less connected. Thus, some small rooms with low furniture encourage informal exchanges, while other rooms are more traditional.
With Stelliant having around a hundred locations across the country, it was important to reflect this national presence in the headquarters spaces. Window decals were used to meet this need. Each room is named after a city, and its windows proudly display an image representing it.
Boosting the Group’s Image
The management team also aimed to revitalize and modernize the company’s image. This new headquarters was intended to mark a new chapter, giving the group renewed momentum. The choice of a completely renovated tower in La Défense is a key indicator of this. But it is also, and above all, the design choices that contribute to this.
The Solaris room is immediately apparent upon entering the reception area. With its giant screen and high, semicircular table, designed for both brainstorming sessions and crisis management meetings, it exemplifies this modernization.
The workspace offers a wide variety of space formats, seating options, and equipment. Connectivity, modularity, and mobile furniture are all present. These details demonstrate an adaptation to new hybrid work styles.
Project Challenges
As with any site consolidation project, this one was subject to a tight schedule tied to the dilapidation deadlines of the former sites.
Added to this were the regulatory constraints related to the fact that the Tour Légende is a high-rise building. Indeed, the required documentation and administrative procedures for this type of building add unavoidable delays that must be factored into the project management.
