the june gloom as they like to call it in beach towns has rolled in and has me hunkered down under a cozy blanket as i write this, but i’m still inspired by the look a summery surf shack. nina Freudenberger’s book, is still one of my all-time favorite design books (the hammock in the living room above is from her beautiful book) and i was just revisiting its pages looking for some summer inspiration for my own laguna cottage. it’s pretty black and white in here right now, but i think i’d like to add some summer color to it. i’ve ordered a couple of new art prints by by Lee Alice H. Pablo, and by artist anna koeferl (just below) from one of my favorite decor shops, in new orleans, as well as some new to add to my collection. here’s a look at what else is inspiring me, and if you’re looking for more, follow dedicated to all things surf shack.
