Transforming Taikoo Li Qiantan’s Shanghai office into a wellness haven that mirrored the ‘naturalistic’ theme of their retail project. The transition from closed to open workspaces also required a Change Management program for a smooth shift.

Space Matrix’s design philosophy, ‘The Ripple Effect’, aligned perfectly with Taikoo’s vision. We seamlessly blended natural elements with contemporary architecture, fostering a healthy, sustainable, and enjoyable work environment. The central creative corner, bathed in natural light, blurred the lines between indoors and outdoors, acting as the heart of the space.

The thoughtfully designed visitor experience began with an ‘Active Entry’ zone featuring open collaboration spaces and meeting areas. Highlighting the company’s commitment to employee well-being, we incorporated ‘Mindful Moments’ throughout the office. These dedicated spaces provided areas for rest, meditation, and relaxation, promoting overall well-being.

The reception area reflected Taikoo Li Qiantan’s brand identity with a logo-inspired backdrop that doubled as an art piece. Biophilic design elements were woven throughout – a green wall behind the reception, potted plants lining the open office, and graphic walls showcasing natural patterns and colors. The layout of the wellness areas deviated from the typical straight lines, embracing organic curves.

The Ripple Effect of wellness permeated the entire office, fostering a positive and inspiring work environment. Natural elements are seamlessly intertwined with contemporary design, creating a connection to the surrounding landscape for both employees and visitors.

The office embodied the company’s commitment to its people. Biophilic design elements instilled tranquillity and a sense of harmony with nature. The dynamic and open layout facilitated a new way of working, encouraging collaboration, focus, and team creativity.

The Taikoo Li Qiantan office stands as a testament to Space Matrix’s expertise in workplace design. We combined our focus on wellness and sustainability with the client’s vision to create a space that reflects their values and empowers their employees.
