when i was in portugal, i was yet again surrounded by european blues. beautiful blue tiles are everywhere in the city of lisbon — azulejos, a form of Spanish and Portuguese painted tin-glazed ceramic tilework is literally everywhere. in fact, Heather, of wrote an entire about their beautiful blue tiles. so, i was inspired yet again to share the many moods of blues with you. some shades of blue feel a little bit more rustic to me, like the choppy waters of the deep blue sea. and some are more soothing, pale and washed out, like the sky on a hazy day. but i adore all of these blues and one of these days i’m going to find a spot to share them in my own home. maybe i need a beach house dedicated just to all the dreamy shades of blue. i mean — we all need a beach house for some reason or another, right?
