i’ve always had a crush on these floating, wall-mounted shelves with glass doors, especially if it’s been diy’d and truly repurposed from an old vintage display case — like this beautiful longtime favorite of mine — that ornate kitchen cabinet is just over the top cool. i love glass cabinets in general, but when you find a vintage china or display cabinet of some kind and separate it from its base, perhaps give it a coat of paint or even add wallpaper to the inside back panel and then hang it on the wall as a floating display unit, i find it looks quite smashing.
