Setter Architects designed the three-floor campus for Toyota’s offices located in Sorek’s Business Park in Rishon Le’Zion, Israel.

The design concept is reflected in ‘road’ motives, inspired by the automotive world: carpets resembling traffic junctions, lighting fixtures in corridors that simulate intersections, and crossroads expressed in the space by curving partitions.

The whole company works in open spaces, where managers and employees are sitting together. Large and small meeting rooms aside to informal rooms, are available for all team members: they provide solutions for various meeting’s needs, from formal office atmosphere to more relaxed environment.

We used soft shades of natural raw materials to generate a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. The entrance atrium, with a cladding of striped wooden walls, recalls the movement of a waterfall. Spilling down from the wooden ceiling into the 9-meter-high atrium space, it gently attracts the eye to the corporate logo made of the same material, and greets visitors.

Natural wood is featured in many elements, such as counters, elevator doors, cabinets, cladding and ceilings. All these are positioned next to stone flooring, concrete walkways, unprocessed metal, soft carpets, white walls that act as a substrate for various colorful items of furniture – allowing them to stand out and imbue life into the calm space.

A number of phone booths are scattered through the office. In assorted colors, they differentiate themselves and help orientation on the floor; they also provide a solution for privacy to the company’s employees who work in the open space.

The dining room and cafeterias are designed with similar materials, but are more vibrant and happier. They invite employees to take a break, or to hold work meetings in a cozy environment with a garden atmosphere expressed in the wood-beamed ceilings, garland lights, and rich plants.
