raum.atelier realized a modern update for the offices of game developer giant, Ubisoft, for their location in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Ubisoft is the largest game developer in Germany and has been writing its success story in the game industry for more than 30 years.

Our task was to develop and implement a new overall interior design concept for the Düsseldorf location. Many different work, functional and communication areas such as open spaces, private meeting rooms, phone boxes, service points and the large games lab ensure a varied working atmosphere. In order to spatially map the company’s CI, the unmistakable game worlds from Ubisoft were integrated into the interior design as large graphics. In this way, employees can immerse themselves in the gaming worlds not only virtually but also spatially. The direct connection to the Düsseldorf location also plays an important role in the design.

The project is divided into two construction phases. Open spaces, meeting areas and service points were implemented in phase 1 at the end of 2019. The social hub, retreat and event areas are currently under construction.

After completion of the first construction phase at the end of 2019, the area of which mainly included the open space areas, the service points and the meeting rooms, the areas of the second construction phase were also successfully completed at the end of 2020.

The new areas include the entire reception area as well as numerous special rooms and now offer employees a cinema in addition to a large and a small event area with an attached cafeteria. The social hub with a café bar and loose furnishings forms the heart of the ground floor and invites you to interact, communicate and linger. The retreat room, which can be used as a place of retreat, the inviting terrace and a small library complete the area.

A wide range of rooms was implemented on a total of approx. 8,500 m², which is perfectly tailored to the needs of UBISOFT.
