today we’re visiting a neighbor of mine here on the east side of L.A., who i believe i first discovered through her inspiring feed. is an interior designer and stylist, who also works in the realm of creative consulting and art direction. she shares her beautifully serene new echo park home with her partner, Jeff, and their rescue dog Joni (named after none other than one of my personal heroes, Joni Mitchell). though they moved in quite recently, has put her design skills to work and has done an amazing job of creating a minimalist, but cozy and enviable art-filled home. let’s have a look!

What’s your favorite feature in your home?
The credenza and all of the objects on it (and art above it). It became the feature of the space as soon as we brought it in.

Is there anything you collect?
Art. We have tons of art (and many pieces unframed just laying in piles). I just started to collect pottery, and we have a pretty big camera collection (thanks to Jeff). I also sort of collect rugs. I blame this on too many trips to the flea market. If I could collect anything impractical – it would be chairs. I love chairs.

What’s the easiest way for you to find inspiration?
Not to force it. To be in a stress-free place, where I can truly be present. A trip up to will always do the trick.

What is your idea of a perfect day in the city?
Brunch at followed by a walk around the neighborhood (which always includes a lot of people watching). Next, maybe sitting in a cafe and journaling, taking Joni on a walk around , and then coming home to cook dinner while dancing to some great tunes.

Who would you like to sit down to drinks or tea with?
This is hard. Right now, , , and are coming to mind (random collection of people, haha). Oh, and . I adore her and would love to meet her someday.

Do you have a guilty pleasure or indulgence?
I’m not guilty about it, but I’ve recently been indulging in a every single day. I don’t eat refined sugar, so it’s the perfect treat for me (although, it’s becoming quite an expensive habit).

What’s souvenir did you bring back from your last trip?
Hmm, I’m blanking, which means I haven’t been traveling enough! I go up to Montecito/Santa Barbara often, and we always bring home something from the garden. Most recently – grapefruit.

What is your idea of living hell?
Driving with no music!

What are some of your favorite instagram feeds?
