
today’s wear this there is kind of a 2fer – two cafes for the price of one. we’re headed back to new york today but this time to a couple of my favorite brooklyn neighborhoods — DUMBO (an acronym of ‘Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass’) and Williamsburg, also along the waterfront. and we’re in for some delicious-looking baked goods (one of each, please) and breakfast at either the original and very charming in Williamsburg with its adorable pink dutch door and outdoor seating, or their new larger sit-down, full menu location with a view of the bridge as its backdrop. serves just baked goods, including espresso from the good people at Intelligentsia, while serves a full-on seasonal breakfast in their cafe-bakery. either way, it’s hot in new york this time of year, so we’re going summer casual in our favorite , , , and some very chic . whilst scarfing down your pastry and supping your espresso i suggest reading by the ever-curious explorer John Major. brooklyn is a city constantly shifting and changing and his insider’s alternative travel guide will inspire wanderlust even for those who call Brooklyn home with 230 pages and 111 fascinating places to visit.
