boutique accommodations have a special place in my heart, and when you find the perfect one, it almost begins to feel like your home away from home, this time in the 1950s or 60s. in keeping with our mid-century modern vibes earlier this week, we’re checking into the hotel alexandra in copenhagen, which looks exactly like the kind of place we’d want to rest our pretty heads, especially when captured so beautifully by haarkon. the entirety of the alexandra interiors is an homage to iconic mid-century danish modern designers like arne jacobsen and gives us the feeling that this is what mad men may have looked like if it had a european spin-off.

since copenhagen is quite cold this time of year, i’ve thrown together a few mix-and-match weekend looks with keeping you warm in mind. a cozy faux fur coat to dress up or down with a few sweater options, a pleated midi skirt, and some very sexy off-white knee-high boots for evening. for daytime adventures, i’ve added my current favorite sailor jeans, which work well with either sweater, mod sunnies, and comfy sneakers for wandering the city on foot, along with copenhagen’s guide to 500 hidden secrets, and you’re ready, set, go — time to explore.
