in this week’s wear this there we’re headed to one of my favorite cities, stockholm to a fairly new café conveniently located next door to the Performing Arts Museum and the Swedish Music Hall of Fame. we’re headed to the very cozy kavalleriet cafe in Stockholm’s Östermalm district, so after a day of perusing the local art scene you can pop into one of the city’s oldest industrial buildings for some of kavalleriet’s unique open-faced sandwiches or one of their signature pizzas, like their Umami pizza — Fior di latte, portabello, truffle, and black kale. oh yes! it’s still a little chilly in sweden so we’re layering up with a super cozy, chunky poncho over a silky slip and a delicious chocolate brown coat. pair that for a casual brunch vibe with some relaxed chinos and converse hightops and a soft beanie and fun sling bag. while waiting for your table, i highly recommend reading A Place for Us by Fatima Farheen Mirza. i just finished this very moving story of what it means to be both an American and Muslim family today — a novel of love, identity, and belonging that eloquently examines two cultures, seeking to find their place in the world, as well as the path back home.
