we’re headed to a city i’ve not spent any time in as of yet, but i’ve often wanted to visit — atlanta, georgia which has become a film industry mecca as of late. we’re going to drinks at le bon nosh, a french patisserie by day and by night a dinner spot complete with a cocktail bar and very plush speakeasy vibes. i think i fancy le bon nosh’s lychee in paris specialty cocktail with caviar and chips to start. and given all the elegant marble and sumptuous velvets we’d get rather fancied up this evening in shades of pale pink, metallic golds, and a bit of black. we’re pairing a pale pink tee with a cropped black faux leather jacket and full bubble skirt with grown-up gold mary janes, sheer socks, and gold bucket bag. add a few baubles and we’re good to go. before heading out, i suggest reading a real southern gem — midnight in the garden of good and evil by john berendt. his suspenseful and witty book reads like a thoroughly engrossing novel, and yet it is a work of nonfiction, interweaving an entertaining story of life in this remnant of the old south with the unpredictable twists and turns of a landmark murder case. very juicy, indeed, and a favorite of mine.
