on this week’s wear this there we’re keeping our meal simple and popping in for a coffee and perhaps a yummy breakfast pastry. we’re headed to ppl and sons in brooklyn new york’s charming Williamsburg — and in this case, come for the coffee but stay for the plants! this place is tiny but makes up for its size in some mighty lush style and some delicious brews. and all the abundance of plants you see from every nook and cranny? these are also plants that you can actually purchase, and there is a gorgeous selection of bakery items to complement your coffee beverage of choice. we’re thinking of heading to ppl before the farmer’s market so it’s sunday casual with a cozy layered cashmere tank and cardigan, our favorite worn-in jeans, a lovely woven sun hat and tote bag, and don’t forget your farmer’s market cart. whilst sipping your hot latte i highly recommend reading Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson, a moving whodunit that takes place on San Piedro Island, a place haunted by the memory of what happened to its Japanese residents during World War II, when an entire community was sent into exile while its neighbors watched. Gripping, tragic, and a very important read.
