i’ve actually been to this week’s destination, and man-oh-man would i love to go back! we’re headed to lisbon, portugal — one of my very favorite cities and popping into . we were taken here by some bonafide foodies we met in lisbon and were not disappointed. celebrates the loveliest local food that Portugal has to offer, from land to sea and all their dishes are based on national, seasonal, and fresh ingredients. Basically, if it is not of the season, it doesn’t make it to your table. and their wines are exclusively organic, biodynamic, and natural. is part of a renovation in the area — a former 19th-century factory and because it was left abandoned for over 20 years, the interiors got covered by vegetation. Facing this reality the owners decided to create a farm-to-table restaurant and interior designers brought the idea to life with , which means meadow. they’ve also got a gorgeous gourmet food market you must check out while you’re there. since i recall hiking up a rather steep street to the restaurant, let’s get casual with worn with and a , and a chic to keep us warm and cozy. add a soft and a great and we’re good to go. while you await your table, read a few pages from by christine mangan which is a favorite book of mine. the last person alice shipley expects to see since arriving in tangier with her new husband is lucy mason. after a tragic accident at college, the two friends—once inseparable roommates haven’t spoken in over a year. it’s kind of a mystery with lots of twists and turns that i just loved.
