i guess i really must love a whitewashed look because as i move from my echo park home with its beamed ceilings, i move into yet with a similar whitewashed roof above my head. i have always gravitated to this fresh, open-feeling look and continue to find these spaces soothing and quite easy to decorate around. i tend to think of them as a simple white canvas to build on, and you can really add any color palette you like. these spaces are very white on white with lots of natural wood, neutrals and some add a bold splash of black (which i love!). here’s to a whitewashed wonderland.
