i’ve posted part one on my holiday in pairs, where to stay and what to see; part two where to eat and drink, and now here’s the latest and last chapter — where to shop. shopping in paris is always a good idea and so much inspiration! such great design, with excellent vintage treasures to be found and, of course, fun fashion. I’ve rounded up a few of my old favorite boutiques and some wonderful new discoveries i was excited to find. for instance, be sure to check out the areas surrounding canal saint-martin in the 10th arrondissement for some great shops like centre commerical for fashion and artisan homewares and one-of-a-kind home goods at jamini. macon & lesquoy is a perfect spot for hand-beaded souvenir brooches and artworks — i brought home a darling little baguette. in the heart of Palais Royalâ€s gardens is maison bonnet, where if you want to order a custom pair of eyeglasses, this is where jackie o would get her signature sunglasses — ooooh la la! and nearby is astier de villatte where they carry the most gorgeous ceramics as well as an incredible home accessories collaboration with john derian (sorry, no photos are allowed). here are what other shops we found along our travels around paris.

first up is vintage shop extraordinaire axs design because it was one of our favorite finds, thanks to the shopkeepers who recommended it to me. the shop owners and designers Ariel Novak and Sydney Sabatier couldn’t have been kinder and more welcoming, and their vintage curations are just so special and surprisingly affordable. we all left with many, many treasures and some fun history to go along with them as well as some newfound friends. the shop is in a beautiful courtyard tucked away from the street, so use your GPS! 12 rue saint-sabin, 75011 paris.

sharing the same courtyard with axs design is the incredible antoinette poisson. the stunning boutique houses the old charm of 18th-century interiors, using designs and motifs based on original creations and prints from historical archives. the brand’s flagship products include leaf-printed papers, wallpapers, printed linens, perfumes, stationery, and handmade decorative objects for the home. The store’s windows open onto their workshop, where you can see the block printing and coloring of their signature wallpapers and prints. i found a one-of-a-kind journal here with my favorite pattern, ‘pretty wood.’ do stop in and say hello to the lovely staff here. 12 rue saint-sabin, 75011 paris.

also for vintage lovers — a must visit to paul bert serpette, the flagship of the puces de paris saint-ouen, Paul Bert Serpette is the world’s largest antique market, so wear your sneakers because you’ll be covering a lot of ground. The Paul Bert Serpette is actually the specialized antique market within the larger flea market, which spans several city blocks where you’ll find loads of bric-a-brac and some excellent people-watching. do not miss it. 110 rue des rosiers, saint-ouen, 93400 paris.

drole de monsieur is a must-visit fashion boutique in le marais offering distinctive and wearable everyday wardrobe, presented as an hommage to iconic sportswear. their collections are halfway between fascination for the 70’s and 80’s aesthetic, nostalgia for the 90’s, with true attention to today’s chic comfort. past and present meet in their fun collections, with the sophistication of retro silhouettes and a cheeky motto that i had to have hanging on my walls — you can wear it on a t-shirt, too: not from paris madame. 52 rue charlot, 75003 paris.

also in le marais is a lovely little shop i stumbled upon, inoui editions, a french accessory brand created by stylist lise guitton and textile designer mathilde bon. starting with their signature scarves, they moved on to collections of leather goods, home decor, and ready-to-wear using the same design identity as their iconic prints. each print on their scarves tells you a story like a painting. there are several paris locations, but i visited their le marais location. 17 rue des blancs manteaux, 75004 paris.

a longtime favorite of mine is merci, a concept store where you can shop for not only french fashion but fabulous homewares, too. it’s kind of my home away from home in paris, and if i’m feeling a little lost or overwhelmed, i head to merci to feel comfortable and welcome. and i always dine in their used book shop cafe at least once while i’m there. or i’ll also stop into their very charming le cine-cafe. the store always has amazing displays happening, usually around a general theme, so i promise you’ll never leave uninspired. 111 boulevard beaumarchais, 75003 paris.

jamini is a beautiful homewares shop i’ve been following for a long time on instagram, carrying a range of household linens and home decor with printed, woven, or embroidered patterns on everything from clothing to table linens, cushions, bed linen, and handcrafted Indian quilts — unique textile pieces with a bohemian aesthetic. i found this gorgeous kimono robe here, too. 10 rue du chateau d’eau, 75010 paris.

artefact paris is another shop i happened upon by chance. located in le marais, on the historic Rue des Blancs-Manteaux, a road was named in 1289 after a monastery located just behind the boutique specializing in carefully sourced teas from all over the world as well as delicious house blends you can try in their small tea tasting area. it was a very hot day in paris, and the very kind store owner offered me some refreshing cold herbal blend to try, which i ended up buying and bringing home. they also carry some exquisite ceramics, art books, and homewares. a truly lovely little shop. 23 rue des blancs manteaux 75004 paris.

if vintage clothes are your thing, don’t miss mamz’elle swing, also in le marais. i’ve never seen so many well-curated vintage dresses in one place and could have taken home an armload of their pretty prints. the handbags and hats were pretty grand too, so while you’re shopping all the new clothing shops in le marais, stop in to mamz’elle swing and get your vintage fix. 35 bis, king of sicily street, 75004 paris.

i’ve been stopping into concept store la mouette rieuse for years now, and it’s always a fun and inspiring visit filled with wonderful art and photography books, whimsical paper goods, parisian souvenirs, home accessories, and even a sweet little coffee and co-working cafe in the rear. 17 bis rue pavee, 75004 paris.

le monde sauvage from founder Beatrice Laval is also a longtime favorite of mine and I’ve purchased many a beautiful pillow and bedroll from this pretty textile shop. it’s somewhere you’ll fall in love with. 21 rue de Savigne, 75004 paris.

i’ve been following the socialite family design and lifestyle blog forever, but founder constance gennari has now opened several brick and mortar stores in paris. i stopped into the shop in the 12th arrondissement, where the socialite family carries chic modern lighting, furniture, textiles, and an abundance of beautifully curated homewares. 12 rue saint-riacre, 75002 paris.

bonton in le marais is always a stop for me, not only for their adorable children’s goods but for their famous photo booth. drop in a few euros, and you’ve got a parisian memory for life — always good for a laugh. the concept store is also super inspiring and now carries furniture, homewares and even fashion for women. right down the street from merci, it’s a must-visit for those who crave creativity and inspiration while they shop. 5 boulevard des filles du calvaire, 75003 paris.

la tresorerie is another shop i never miss when coming to Paris. much like the general stores of yesteryear, drugstores-hardware stores-merceries in which one could find everything necessary for the equipment of a household, it’s a homeware junkie’s paradise with everything from cookware, unique kitchen gadgets like champagne corkers to incredible linens, shopping totes to fragrance and soaps. don’t miss it! 11, rue du château d’eau, 75010 paris.

who says menswear is just for men? when in paris, i love to check out the shops for men, and anatomica paris is a new favorite find. i found an amazing canvas tote bag here (so large that i lugged all my treasures home in it), and we had a very pleasant visit with the gentleman who runs their chic flagship shop with vintage vibes. follow them on instagram for an inspiring experience, too. 14 rue du bourg tibourg, 75004 paris.
