to blossom and flourish. this is the motivation behind and meaning of the Amharic word lemlem. after a visit to her native ethiopia, supermodel Liya Kebede was captivated by the skill and tradition of the handwoven creations she encountered and founded lemlem shortly after. all of the pieces are handwoven in africa from natural cotton and couldn’t be more comfortable. with bright colors and playful patterns that are hard to resist, the pieces are so light and breezy you’ll forget you’re wearing anything at all! lemlem has opened it’s first brick and mortar shop at platform in culver city so swing by to see for yourself.
