Astra Management Development Institute (AMDI) is an internal institution founded by PT Astra International Tbk, one of Indonesia’s largest and most diversified conglomerates. AMDI focuses on leadership development, management training, and innovation programs for Astra Group employees. As a key platform for internalizing Astra’s core values—Catur Dharma—the workspace is designed to visually and spatially reflect these principles, transforming them into daily lived behaviors across the company culture.
The design fosters a culture-building environment that supports a variety of activities: individual work, collaboration, and training. The layout intuitively connects open workspaces, focus areas, and flexible collaboration zones, supporting hybrid learning models that combine in-person and digital formats. Natural light, acoustic treatments, and ergonomic furnishings ensure comfort and productivity, while a palette of neutral tones with strategic color accents helps define spatial functions without compromising visual harmony. Focus spaces like phone booths are designed with bold hues, offering privacy for calls and online meetings while enhancing spatial clarity.
Material selection is carefully curated for durability, aesthetics, and brand alignment. High-quality finishes—natural wood, recycled materials, soft carpets, and upholstered acoustic panels—are used to promote warmth and reduce noise in key zones. Glass partitions maintain openness while encouraging privacy and transparency. Throughout, subtle branding and textured wall treatments reinforce AMDI’s identity.
Bright accent colors are applied thoughtfully to stimulate creativity, balanced with dominant neutrals to maintain focus. Every design element—from spatial flow to furniture selection—prioritizes user well-being and comfort while expressing Astra’s confident, modern personality. The result is a workplace that unites brand, function, and culture—an inspiring environment aligned with AMDI’s mission to develop future leaders.
