As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the INDE.Awards in 2026, it’s time to reflect on the members of the jury who assess the projects, practices and objects submitted to the program.

With a 34-member strong jury this year, it’s certainly a very large cohort of practitioners who bring their diverse skills to the table and make the vital decisions that include the category shortlists, those who receive honourable mentions and, of course, the winners.

While jury members hail from across our region, and indeed the globe, three countries that are making their presence felt are Singapore, Aotearoa/New Zealand and Malaysia.

Representatives from these countries are integral to the jury and bring their rich cultural knowledge and perspective to the jury process – as each is an exemplar both at home and across the Indo-Pacific.

This year, jury members from Singapore are Chan Ee Mun, Director, WOHA and Colin Seah, Principal, Ministry of Design (MOD). Representing Aotearoa/New Zealand are Huia Reriti, President and Fellow, FNZIA and Jeremy Smith, Design Director, Irving Smith Architects and from Malaysia, David Teoh, Director (Architecture and design) PAB Architecture.

We are indeed fortunate to have these outstanding architects on the 2026 INDE.Awards jury as they bring to the judging process experience in myriad sectors of design ranging from workplace, retail and commercial through to residential, multi-residential and hospitality projects.

While the jury is the backbone of the INDEs, we are delighted that this year we have Strategic Partnerships with the Architecture Institutes from these three countries.

We welcome to the INDEs family, the Singapore Institute of Architects, Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects and Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) – Malaysian Institute of Architects.

Each institute is progressive and recognises the importance of showcasing their countries world-class design on a dedicated platform such as the INDEs. The Indo-Pacific is a global leader of architecture and design and the talent within the Indo-Pacific is the most dynamic in the world today.

Through the INDE.Awards, we celebrate the practitioners from all countries in our region and place them centre stage for the world to see and understand that we are a force for great design.

Entries to the 2026 INDE.Awards are now closed. Stay tuned for the Shortlist Announcement in July 2026.
