much like its cool cousin green, deeper darker shades of teal and turquoise are popping up all over the place making them the ideal for summer. it’s a real colorfest out there lately and maximalism is very in, so you may want to add a dash of your own bit of blue if you care much about being on-trend. i’m not sure i can do shades of blue in my own place (except in my bathroom below, with my vintage seaside painting collection), but i know that i certainly admire it from afar. there’s nothing quite like a splash of teal to remind you of far-off, holiday locations by the sea — like mexico, the Mediterranean, or perhaps Cadaques, spain (one of the prettiest seaside cities i’ve ever seen!). there’s definitely an exotic feel to some of these rooms, and again they’re beckoning us to take a trip. and now that i’m back on the mend from covid and with a few more days of safely quarantining under my belt, i may seriously have to start thinking about planning a trip somewhere in my near future.
