For the Hamburg office of technology company Comet Yxlon, Joppich & Rieckhoff Handelsgesellschaft für Büroeinrichtungen mbH, in close collaboration with the Lindner Group, developed a future-oriented workspace concept. This pilot project was realized through a strong partnership with the client and all project stakeholders. Joppich & Rieckhoff led the overall interior design and furniture concept, while the Lindner Group ensured that all spatial and architectural solutions were precisely executed during construction.

The project aimed to transform a traditional, cell-office layout into a modern, collaborative work environment that fosters communication, flexibility, and individual focus. Rooted in a user-centered approach, the design process included active involvement of employees through feedback formats, internal communication tools, and structured change management. The resulting workplace reflects the company’s values while supporting new ways of working.

The design balances open work areas, dedicated project spaces, focus zones, and informal collaboration points. Carefully curated furniture solutions combine ergonomic workstations, modular lounge seating, flexible meeting areas, and acoustic elements to create a well-zoned, high-comfort environment. Materiality, color, and spatial layout were purposefully selected to support orientation, identity, and the experience of workplace culture.

The success of the project was made possible by the seamless collaboration between all involved parties. The Lindner Group contributed technical expertise and construction accuracy, ensuring the physical space aligned perfectly with the intended design. The furniture delivery and installation were handled efficiently by a specialized logistics partner, contributing to a smooth and timely project completion.

Comet Yxlon’s new Hamburg office demonstrates how interdisciplinary collaboration, thoughtful design, and precise execution can transform not just a space, but an entire workplace culture. The result is a human-centered environment that supports productivity, fosters connection, and sets a benchmark for future office transformations within the company.
