cozy eclectic modern decor. / sfgirlbybay

this is what i would call cozy modern. eclectic spaces that while definitely have a very vintage vibe, don’t swing in the direction of ‘country’ and instead are a little more modern. and they get that way with the addition of contemporary lighting and artwork, bringing in the latest on-trend greenery, and are much more a mixed bag and less matchy-matchy. it’s as if you perhaps inherited a family heirloom, like your grandmother’s windsor chairs but then paired them with a burl wood countertop you made from scratch (like you see below). lesson? don’t be afraid to mix and match what’s old and new, and just keep what you love. because what you love will ultimately make for a very happy, cozy modern home.
