The world is in a perpetual state of conflict. If Ukraine-Russia was not enough, India and Pakistan had their share of aerial warfare recently, and now Iran and Israel are locked into a counter-offensive. One thing that comes out of such conflicts uncalled is the loss of innocent human lives. For those who agree, this state of constant global unrest has not only inflated commodity prices but also increased demand for healthcare services and the need for innovative evacuation passenger vehicles.
The Ukraine-Russia war has been a reason for some lifesaving inventions, including the : a lightweight off-road trailer for combat rescue and evacuation that has helped Ukrainian medics rescue lives from the war-shattered areas. The brainchild of Krakow, Poland-based Da Orffo, Life Chariot was built on an in-house, all-terrain chassis, which ensured the rescue trailer remained lightweight for easy maneuverability and rugged enough to go where it’s needed.

The award-winning medvac passenger trailer chassis is now leveled up for the adventurous. The Unit 1 is now the foundation of a modular towable ready for a glamping-esque experience in the far-flung areas, or an everyday ride to haul your gear between the beach and home, and such. It features a load-bearing capacity of up to 500 kg, is based on a robust gas-regulated suspension system with all-terrain tires, and a height-adjustable hitch, making it a wholesome base for a modular camping solution.
Unit 1 measures a little under 11 feet in length, has 375 kg dead weight, and with the adjustable hitch can easily hook up to different-sized vehicles for smooth towing. The welded steel-beam frame inside of robust fenders ensures a simple but heavy-duty setup you can adapt to a range of off-roading requirements. So, you can arrange the to either carry a motorcycle, a kayak, an e-bike, or an entire camping tent. Its versatility renders the Unit 1, a capable base for a camper or a toy hauler.
According to Da Orffo, there are more uses for the Unit 1. In addition to being a cargo hauler or a mobile base camp for activities, it can be used to transport heavy and fragile equipment, convert it into a mobile workstation, or even a mobile showroom. With options of a storage tray, a platform rack, or a pair of left and right lockers that allow you to leave the hatch open to create a worktop or shelf space onboard, the Unit 1 is a choose-it-yourself setup for ordinary days. When you want the adventurous thrill, slot in an optional gear-carrying module and go on with up to two bikes, a kayak, or a dirt bike. But what really blows the mind is the choice of a D1 adventure box and a roof rack that when mounted, transform the chassis of this once medvac vehicle base into a fully-fledged camper trailer.
