The James Dunlop Group has recently announced its acquisition of Marco Fabrics, a renowned soft furnishings and upholstery fabric company with a 30-year history of excellence. James Dunlop, which has been designing and distributing creative products since 1907, is also home to Mokum, a brand synonymous with Australasian luxury and beauty.

The alignment between Marco, Mokum, and James Dunlop has been established for quite some time, all passionately run companies with a long-term goal of industry excellence for the benefit of all. With the addition of Marco’s brand portfolio, the James Dunlop / Mokum showrooms will offer an ever wider range of high-quality textile products to customers.

Andrew Mills, Australian managing director of James Dunlop Textiles says, “Marco shares many similarities with James Dunlop and Mokum, including a focus on exceptional customer service, quality of design, and breadth of range. Their proven reputation and depth of knowledge will only serve to strengthen our offering to designers, retailers, and manufacturers nationwide.”

The acquisition of Marco brings with it a host of international fabric houses, including the illustrious British textile group, Romo. These exclusive brands include Black Edition, Clarke & Clarke, Kirkby Design, Mark Alexander, Romo, Villa Nova, and Zinc Textiles. This offering adds to the international brand offering already available in James Dunlop / Mokum showrooms, such as Designs of the Time, Hemptech, Casadeco, and Ultrafabrics.

The Marco team will also be brought on board to share its expertise and continue supporting its clients.
