just over an hour away from Bordeaux in the french countryside is a small historic town of Duras and it’s there you will find the most charming , poetically named Hilltop Barn. and you yourself can actually visit there because it’s the holiday home of designer and available on . the charming stonework architecture and that killer staircase had me at bonjour, but there’s so much more to this converted hilltop barn complete with outdoor swimming pool. it’s been recently reimagined in an ecclectic mix of both vintage and contemporary furniture pieces, which complement beautifully the original character of the house — of which there are three bedrooms with queen beds and two bathrooms. almost room for all of us!
