happy friday, one and all. it’s supposed to rain yet again this weekend, so i’m hunkering down with a great book i’m reading — john boyne’s all the broken pieces. i’ve loved everything i’ve read of his, so you might like his books, too. i also listened to an excellent podcast while writing this, goop’s conversation with author katherine may who’s written many books, but they mainly discussed enchantment: awakening wonder in an anxious age which deals with our struggles with being social, work, family, and the aftereffects of the pandemic, particularly those feelings that overwhelm us as the world rushes to reopen. i found her warm, witty, and very wise. you might like a listen. have a wonderful weekend, everyone. xo, v.
