i’ve noticed a trend of late that decor is veering away from that kind of cool california look with cacti and leather and transitioning into a rather parisian, art deco aesthetic. it’s even getting a little bit avant-garde, with uniquely shaped sofas (like ama modular sofa or the lennon sofa) upholstered in soft pastel velvets. i’m all for it, and love this look when paired with vintage classic pieces like Arne Jacobsen, eames, or Finn Juhl chairs, and killer, one of a kind futuristic looking lighting. you don’t have to go ultra modern, but it’s kind of fun to be a little experimental from time to time and try a whole new vibe.
