Roman Klonek, hailing from Kattowitz/Poland and passionate about classic cartoons and modern block printing styles, has been making art for the past 20 years. During his studies in Düsseldorf in the 1990s he discovered a newfound love of woodcuts which can be seen throughout his illustrations today. His works are an eclectic combination of pop culture with elements of propaganda and folklore featuring endearing characters who often find themselves in awkward situations. Alongside his friends, Roman creates these pieces within their studio space located in Düsseldorf, Germany.
