i love seeing other creative people’s inspiration or mood boards almost as much as i love creating ones of my own. it’s like looking at someone’s bookcase — you get another glimpse into their soul. there’s no better way to capture your vision, whether it be interior design, fashion, photography, or graphics than curating images that resonate with you together as a collection or an artful collage. i keep design journals, too, and love looking back to see my changing tastes over time — and often how they don’t change all that much at all. even what you stick up on your fridge can spark some ideas inside you. gathering colors, shapes, and images that inspire you and keeping them within your eye-line can really help motivate your creativity and often even turn into actual art. with all this self-quarantining it’s really the perfect time to work on a project like this for yourself whether it’s visualizing a brand new you, or it’s new home decor. as much as i love gathering online inspiration on , or creating one in photoshop, i still love a good old fashioned collage or mood board of what i’m currently inspired by. here’s a glimpse of some boards currently inspiring me. i think i’ll work on one this week.
