Instant Offices’ new serviced floor at 2 Blagrave Street creates an inviting and versatile workspace designed to support their client in boosting collaboration, attracting top talent and accommodating a growing workforce.
Instant Offices, a leading provider of serviced office spaces, needed an inspired environment for their client’s expansion into a new floor in the heart of Reading. Having already designed their third and fourth floors, the challenge was to replicate these successful spaces while adding a fresh, tailored look and feel. With the space’s close proximity to Reading station and town centre, it was crucial to create a workspace that would attract top talent to Instant Offices’ client, whilst also catering to their growing team.
From the outset, Instant Offices made it clear that the new workspace needed to be functional, modern and people centric. To achieve this, Morgan Lovell ran stakeholder workshops with teams from both Instant Offices and their client’s to understand their specific requirements and aspirations for the space from all perspectives.
The space was designed to offer flexibility, supporting various work styles. The design incorporates warm tones and natural finishes, creating a sense of wellbeing and relaxation throughout. Open plan desks encourage collaboration, while quiet zones and video conference booths provide areas for focused tasks and one on one discussions. Touchdown spaces add further flexibility for people, as well as spontaneous meetings. A multifunctional breakout area serves as a hub for informal gatherings, lunch breaks and collaborative sessions. To support larger events, three dedicated training rooms can be opened into one expansive town hall area, perfect for onboarding, workshops and team building sessions.
The completed workspace has been a resounding success. End users have embraced the new environment, which has already improved collaboration across teams. The new floor not only enhances Instant Offices’ Reading location but also reflects their commitment to supporting their clients and team with thoughtful, inspiring environments.
