one of my favorite photographers, australian kara rosenlund has added a brand new series of prints to her collection entitled Into the Sea and they’re all just as stunning as the seaside landscapes she’s captured. kara photographed these stunning prints in Sydney, Byron Bay, Stradbroke Island and the Whitsundays. i keep seeing images of byron bay and have put it high on my list of must visits, but in the meantime, i’ll just let kara’s images take me there.
kara’s intention when photographing a landscape is to always capture the spirit or essence of the place, never wanting to capture the obvious, she’s more interested in the details that add up to a mood and exploring what she’s seeing within the frame, always evoking an emotion. This collection is about the serene feeling – the letting go – surrendering and being submersed in the power of the water. to purchase kara’s beautiful prints visit her shop, and be sure and follow along with her travel diary and on instagram.
