Hidden for decades within a bathroom in La Casa Azul in Mexico City (the artist’s famous home, now the Frida Kahlo Museum), the collection contained more than 6,000 photos taken by and belonging to the artist and her husband Diego Rivera. Monasterio ultimately gathered 401 of the most significant findings in the book, now in its third printing.
