i’ve been slowly working on the remodel of my kitchen (you can see before images here). it’s taken on a life of its own, much because my contractor who did an amazing job of my bathroom remodel suddenly went bonkers on me — i hear this is an epidemic among contractors everywhere. he was such a craftsman but one i believe, who did not manage the stress of many jobs at once and so when he started cussing at me and refused to apologize, i fired him. but i digress, as anyone who’s gone through construction woes is inclined to do we could go on and on — so back to what i’ve currently got going on!
thus far i’ve partnered with armstrong flooring and put in their amazing Hickory Point Copper Penny luxury flooring — and i can’t say enough nice things about working with armstrong and their installation team from A-1 Flooring Co. — what lovely and skilled workmen! i’m also partnering with Caesarstone and putting in beautiful new countertops and backsplash in frosty carrina. it’s all on order and hopefully, this will happen before christmas. i’ve also got a new black smeg refrigerator and countertop appliances from wayfair and oh how do i love them! the fridge is the cutest i’ve ever seen and makes me unreasonably happy. i’ve been working on some inspiration on how i’ll pull the final look together once the final elements are in and there’s one area where i currently have a coffee cart, but i’d like a small hutch here with opening shelving above, so a lot of these looks have the vibe i’m going for. i also like how calming and organized these spaces look and i love the vintage modern mix — like the addition of unexpected portrait paintings paired with the modern countertops and open shelving. i’m also going to repaint the kitchen in benjamin moore’s oxford white and at some point i hope to put french doors out to the patio. babysteps. i can’t wait to share the final reveal with you, and hopefully very soon!
this post is in product trade partnership with armstrong flooring; Caesarstone; wayfair; and benjamin moore — all brands i stand behind and highly recommend and all words and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that help keep sfgirlbybay going with fresh content every day.
