it’s that time of year when it’s really nice to just hunker down with a good book. it’s chilly out and i’m much more keen on staying in bed or curling up on the sofa with a cozy throw, a cup of tea and a must-read. i read a lot this summer, too which was sublime — i can’t say enough positive things about getting off the internet for a while and escaping into a beautifully written book. a few books i really loved were , , and the .

and now as i hibernate a little bit this winter, i’m looking forward to reading by Janet Fitch (i loved her book , so i’m really looking forward to reading this new one!). also by Chloe Benjamin sounds really interesting — based on the premise ‘If you knew the date of your death, how would you live your life?’. i’ve also picked up by Gabriel Tallent (i’m terrible, i always buy like three books at once!). and I also hear by Hanya Yanagihara is really excellent. have you read any of these? or have any other recommendations for us as we transform into winter bookworms? do tell!
