sometimes i wish my kitchen was a bit brighter, like my old kitchen in echo park. and when i see kitchens and dining areas like these that are so light and cheerful, it inspires me to figure out a way to redesign things to brighten my own space a bit more. i’m renting now, and have cream & black tile that dates back to 1929, and while it’s charming, to lighten the space up i’m considering getting a white smeg fridge, because something about those really bring on a great vibe, and i think it will complement the vintage tiles. i also need to have some shelves built above my bar area to help declutter the countertops and display some of my kitchen collectibles in a more cohesive way. i also need to take the curtains down and let all the natural light flood in. and lastly, adding a bit of natural greenery seems like a nice idea to give the kitchen a nice, fresh look. anyway, i’ve been pinning some looks i like and thought i’d share today what i’m up to in the way of decorating the laguna cottage. too bad i can’t bust out a wall and have these amazing french doors installed!
