guest room makeover with everything but the house. / sfgirlbybay

everything but the house. good name for an online boutique selling — well, everything but the house. EBTH is the premiere estate sale marketplace where you can shop collections from homes all over the country — from vintage and previously loved homewares, clothing, collectibles and more EBTH is a collector’s / decorator’s / bargain shopper’s dream come true. EBTH invited me to do some shopping of my own and try the site out and i went down their rabbit hole quickly. it’s online auction where you can bid on anything from estate sale treasures that include rare art and furniture to jewelry and even cars. i went on the hunt for furniture, accessories, and artwork for my new guest room (more about that very shortly) and found just what i had in mind.

i was on the hunt for some vintage painted portraits and drawings and scored big time. from the nude portrait over the bed, to this charming if not slightly stern looking woman above and the quirky sketch of the impish man these were the kinds of unique art i was seeking. next up, i really wanted to step up my pottery collection and i had all white in mind to accessorize the guest room. i found the alabaster urn, the two cream colored jars and the small ceramic bowl — all for a very sweet bargain hunter’s EBTH price. i also found these wonderful antique wicker end table which really finished off the vintage california vibe i was going for.
