i’ve been feeling pretty antsy lately – craving a long leisurely holiday away. i think it’s everyone’s instagram feeds — it seems as though you’re all on holiday! or at least it feels like it. but i haven’t the time to get away for an extended vacation right now, so i did the next best thing — an weekend away in malibu. i found this in the canyons above malibu at the spur of the moment and booked it pronto-like before anyone else scooped it up. i think you’ll see why i jumped at it when you have a look at these photos. and the hostess was so lovely, i feel as though i met a new friend — more about that later when i share her new line of resort wear with you — you’re going to flip out, it’s so gorgeous. obviously, she has great taste as you’re about to see.
i felt so content and comfortable in her gorgeous . it’s small, and no kitchen, but we easily remedied that with a small picnic cooler i brought along with wine, snacks, and treats for lucy — yep, lucy was invited too because her place is dog-friendly. there’s a hot tub, great hiking trails, views of the ocean and surrounding vineyards and the most stunning sunsets i’ve seen in awhile. it’s about 15 minutes above pacific coast highway, and very close to malibu proper — including loads of restaurants, the , , and beach. i’ve saved this special spot to my weekend getaway wish list but it’s not like i’ll need a reminder to return. i’ll be back soon!
