A new office space in Seoul showcases how workplace design can reflect a company’s values and expertise in renewable energy. The concept of “The Flow” represents energy in motion and is translated in both spatial organization and design motifs.

The overall design of the space utilizes efficient and minimalistic construction detailing to create a combination of modern, industrial and natural look & feel. This general intent, merged with touches of RWE’s brand ID, achieves an office space representing the company’s values and offers a warm, welcoming workspace to both visitors and staff.

To create a sense of place, the designers incorporated Korean elements with a focus on sustainability. A bench made from reclaimed Korean red pine sits in the reception area, while Korean ceramics are featured as decorative elements, providing touches of interest and connection to the local culture.

Materials were chosen with durability, ease of maintenance, and sustainability in mind. Aligning with the company’s environmental commitments, sustainable resources and recycled contents have been the main selection criteria.

Recognizing the importance of a comfortable work environment, the design team prioritized employee well-being, featuring natural lighting and indoor plants to enhance health and work engagement.

Overall, “The Flow” demonstrates how office design can integrate corporate identity, cultural context, and sustainability while focusing on creating a positive environment for employees and visitors alike.
