The work of Sascha Wiederhold (1904–1962) is a rediscovery. The artist began painting in 1924 and belonged to the circle around Herwarth Walden’s Berlin gallery “Der Sturm”. Wiederhold also designed stage sets, posters and book covers. His large-format paintings convey an almost psychedelic visual experience. During the Nazi era, Wiederhold ceased his artistic activities and began working as a bookseller. Only a few works have survived.
