today we’re visiting marseille-based artisan sarah espeute of . sarah’s work had me at bonjour — i’d never seen anything like her hand-embroidered works of art before, and was instantly smitten. her artful creations include functional tablecloths, runners, napkins, and pillows — but each piece is a modest, ‘sensitive work’ (or oeuvres sensibles in french) of art that tells an intimate story, a daily life, a family memory, a sensitive piece in the heart of everyone.
