the interior design executed by Switchup for the Solidgate office perfectly balances a raw industrial aesthetic with warm, contemporary elegance.
The office embraces its structural shell by leaving ductwork, pipes, and textured acoustic ceiling treatments exposed, which are painted in light tones to maximize spatial volume and light.
The design successfully juxtaposes raw architectural elements, such as exposed concrete pillars, with highly refined finishes, including warm wood wall paneling and a sleek, grey terrazzo reception desk and more.
A prominent glass partition with a grid frame and integrated open shelving separates the lounge area from the rest of the office while maintaining visual connectivity.
The main work area utilizes long banks of clean, white desks equipped with fabric privacy screens and modern ergonomic chairs, illuminated by linear LED suspension lights.
The foundational color scheme relies on soft, calming tones, including light greys, beige and the natural, inviting warmth of oak wood.
Deep burgundy and striking cherry red are utilized strategically as accent colors to energize the space. These vibrant hues are applied to lounge seating, high bar tables, custom wall shelving, and statement lighting fixtures.
Vibrant green indoor plants provide a natural, refreshing contrast to the industrial and bold color elements.
The interior architecture heavily features rigid, rectilinear forms, evident in the wood-paneled walls, glass grids, desk layouts, and linear lighting. This strict geometry is intentionally softened by organic, rounded shapes in the furniture, such as the curved backs of the lounge sofas, cylindrical bar stools, and stacked, rounded planters.
Lighting plays a crucial role in defining the room’s geometry. The reception and lounge area features an elegant arrangement of spherical globe pendants. In contrast, the open workspace introduces sharp, dramatic conical pendant shades that break the flat, horizontal lines of the desks and ceiling.
The result is a workspace that elegantly combines exposed industrial architecture with warm, refined materials. The environment features a neutral color palette highlighted by bold red accents, creating a perfect harmony between rigid, straight architectural lines and the soft, organic, and rounded shapes
