This LEGO Terrarium Set Is The One Thing Missing From Its Botanicals Collection

How in the world did LEGO design some of the most gorgeous Botanical sets but forget to make a terrarium?? It baffles me, that you can buy a beautiful set of LEGO flowers, but if you want a neat glass terrarium with its own LEGO flora, you’re on your own. Well, that’s why we have LEGO Ideas, a supermassive community of LEGO builders who do the job of filling in the gaps in LEGO’s collection.

Discovered on the forum today is this 3-piece set of LEGO terrariums from LEGO builder 44th_brick. Crafted to look like a set of corked bottles, each terrarium is made entirely from LEGO, from the exterior to the small bits of greenery inside, whether it’s a flower, a bonsai, or a succulent.

The three-part design makes for a pretty novel collection, especially given that the terrariums come with these jade and gold bases that elevate them from craft projects to serious decor. The bottles are shaped to look fairly rustic too, with two apothecary-style designs, and one lightbulb-shaped bottle.

Inside the largest terrarium sits a blend of a mini orchid, a pink succulent, and a few spotted mushrooms, with a hidden spider for a subtle touch of mystery. All the details are clearly visible through the clean transparent bottle that uses minimal parts to reduce those parting lines that can obscure one’s view.

“I designed this model for those who love the aesthetic of plants but may not have the time – or the green thumb – to care for them. Botanical Terrariums offers a nature-inspired experience that’s calming to build and beautiful to display,” says 44th_brick. “Whether in a home, office, or quiet reading nook, it brings a sense of serenity wherever it sits.”

The other smaller bottles include a succulent nestled among structured stonework, radiating simplicity and balance, and a Chinese money plant in the tiniest bottle, a symbol of growth and harmony.

With over 6,300 votes, the LEGO Ideas Botanical Terrariums MOC (My Own Creation) is well on its way to hitting the 10,000k mark, following which LEGO’s own internal team will review it and ‘hopefully’ turn it into a box set that I will almost definitely buy! You can vote for the Botanical Terrarium on the LEGO Ideas website here.
