Referred to as a day-to-night bag, the Doquintin (or Le Doq in short) takes its inspiration from the vintage doctor’s bag as well as the tote. Vintage doctor bags were prized for their utility, sporting a wide-opening mouth as well as carefully compartmentalized interiors that allowed medical professionals to quickly and easily access their tools of trade. Laflore decided to carry those very features and imbue them into the modern tote bag, known for its evergreen appeal to women. The Doquintin is the best of both of those worlds, created to address the fact that there was a substantial void between fashion and function in today’s bags. Built to represent the cutting-edge of fashion, the bags are made from premium cork skin, three times lighter than leather but equally durable and even water-resistant. The cork is sustainably harvested from trees in Portugal every 7 to 9 years, ensuring the environment remains unharmed and thriving.
