
today’s is slightly challenging in that there are so many beautiful color palettes to choose from it makes it difficult to choose just one perfect ensemble. we’re headed to the latest hotspot brought to us by restaurateur and hotelier , the new in DTLA’s Arts District — designed so beautifully by none other than L.A.’s own with principal designers Jake Rodehuth-Harrison and sally breer. we’ve shared their inspiring design projects here before (, , and designer former fabulous loft) — and there appears to be no stopping this incredible creative team, so i’m excited to share a peek inside the new and its fabulous adjoining .


housed in a historic 1927 firehouse that they’ve so incredibly restored — even gift shop and coffee counter is stunning. and i’ve been to and since we all shared many, many plates, i can assure you it’s well worth the visit — simply everything was delicious, and the bar is not to be missed for a cozy cocktail by the built-in outdoor firepit. don’t forget to look up either — the lighting designed by and is awe-inspiring. each hotel room is a different color theme with some of those iconic textiles by — each more beautiful than the next, so dare we just wear all white and try not to clash? it’s well past memorial day, so i say, yes! while you’re cozied up in one of these colorful rooms, we’re naturally going to be reading — not just because it’s white (duh) but because joan didion’s brilliant essays and observations on the late sixties and seventies are a must-read. enjoy the tour, with gorgeous photographs all by .
