
this week we’re headed south, to vintage charleston, south carolina and i hope you have a hankering for some seafood. we’re dropping into , definitely a darling little spot that celebrates the bounty of the nearby seaside and where fresh seafood is the star of the show. Housed in a lovingly restored, 115-year-old storefront, strives for only the best in local ingredients and sustainability, and naturally fresh from the sea oysters, a favorite of mine. Grab a stool at the 14-seat raw bar fronting charleston’s bustling King Street or settle into one those comfy big green booths. While Frankie’s story challenges Rena’s preconceptions about slavery, it also connects the two women whose lives are otherwise separated by age, race, and circumstances.
