Wipro’s new London workplace reimagines the corporate office through the lens of hospitality. Designed and delivered by M Moser, the 24,500 sq ft workspace introduces the concept of “Wiprotel” – an environment that blends high-performance workspaces with the comfort, service and flexibility of a hotel. Located in Blackfriars on London’s South Bank, the office supports Wipro’s growing and mobile workforce while providing a sophisticated setting for client engagement.
The previous workplace, located within a serviced office environment, no longer supported the evolving needs of Wipro’s teams. As the organisation expanded its presence in London and across Europe, the company required a more flexible, hospitality-driven workplace that could support both day-to-day operations and high-value client interactions. The new office responds to this challenge by integrating Wipro’s global workplace standards with locally inspired experiences that reflect its London context.
The concept begins at arrival. A double-height lobby creates a welcoming first impression, setting the tone for a workplace designed around service and experience. At the centre of the space, a concierge-style podium acts as a multifunctional touchpoint for employees and visitors, supporting daily workplace activities as well as evening events and client gatherings. This hospitality-inspired approach ensures the office can adapt seamlessly between operational workspace and event venue.
Throughout the workplace, the design draws inspiration from hotel environments to create a variety of flexible settings. Informal lounges and collaborative areas function much like a hotel lobby, encouraging spontaneous interaction and informal meetings. In contrast, quieter spaces such as the library offer a calm environment for focused work, echoing the atmosphere of a hotel reading room. A Winter Garden provides a relaxed communal setting where employees can meet, recharge or work in a more informal environment.
Rather than relying on a traditional desk-based layout, the workspace is designed to support mobility and adaptability. Moveable workstations and reconfigurable furniture allow teams to shape the environment around their needs, ensuring the office can evolve alongside the business without requiring major refurbishments. This flexibility helps future-proof the workplace while supporting different working styles across Wipro’s diverse teams.
Client engagement was another key driver for the project. Located on the top floor, the Club Lounge provides a premium space for hosting events, meetings and social gatherings. With access to a 1,470 sq ft terrace overlooking London landmarks, the space offers an elevated indoor-outdoor experience that can transition easily between daytime collaboration and evening entertainment. During the working day, the lounge also serves as a social hub where employees can meet informally or host visitors in a relaxed setting.
An innovation hub further strengthens the office’s role as a centre for collaboration and creativity. Designed as a flexible and secure environment, the space features interactive displays, projection technology and moveable whiteboards that support ideation sessions, client demonstrations and product development workshops.
The design also improves connectivity between floors through an extended internal staircase that encourages movement and interaction across teams. By removing the traditional separation between different levels, the workspace supports a more integrated culture and stronger cross-functional collaboration.
Together, these elements create a workplace that combines hospitality, flexibility and performance. Wiprotel reflects Wipro’s evolving approach to work, providing a dynamic environment where employees and clients can connect, collaborate and innovate.
