even though she’s been designing, making, and exhibiting wallpaper since 1999, i’ve somehow only just discovered these inspiring works of art from , an artist and designer i couldn’t wait to share. attended the Royal College of Art, where she obtained an M.A. in constructed textiles and it was there she began to challenge preconceived notions of wallpaper and wallpapering, introducing the design world to a new and different perspective on the traditional material. Today she lives and works in St Leonards-on-Sea, on the South Coast of England where’s she set up a print room, printing wallpapers and dispatching them to clients across the world, including installations at london’s , in Paris and has collaborated with the likes of other great designers like , , and one of my favorites, .

designs have a very bohemian modern vibe, but with a kind of very british, victorian slant to them i love, including Trompe-l’œil techniques that create a visual illusion, used to trick the eye into perceiving that the depicted objects like chairs, lamps, and bookcases exist in three dimensions. and her (just below) are my ultimate favorites — i’m already trying to figure out where i can best hang one of these in my own home. i think you’re going to love innovative and unique design style! for more follow her on .
