Do you ever see a space and instantly feel like you can take a big gulp of fresh air? That’s the impression I got upon scrolling through the airy, bright photos of this New Zealand abode on Sight Unseen. You’d never guess that the modern dwelling of designer Bec Dowie used to function as a barn — the updated space screams “contemporary” and, with movable walls and mobile bedroom pods, it serves as a studio for one half of the father-daughter duo Douglas & Bec. With little more than the necessities (just the way Bec likes it), the home is utilitarian yet stylish. I’m loving the dramatic credenza paired with the light tones of the dining/living space!
