In 2025, CONCLUSION, a leading technology company, chose Portugal to expand its presence, entrusting BETTER PLACE with the conception, design, and construction of its new office. Occupying all five floors of the Lisboa Building in Parque das Nações, the project covers approximately 1,300 m², with breathtaking views over the Tagus River.

The ground floor serves as the reception and flexible meeting hub. Movable walls allow spaces to be combined into larger meeting rooms when needed, complemented by dedicated mothers’ and doctor rooms and a “Cofree Point” to support the meetings area. The uppermost floor, featuring an expansive terrace, houses the cafeteria and functions as the social heart of the office. It accommodates town halls, internal trainings, and informal gatherings, offering employees a dynamic, flexible space with stunning river views.

The remaining floors are dedicated to operations, blending formal and informal work zones with collaborative areas such as brainstorm rooms, meeting rooms with diverse acoustics, phone booths, quiet zones, and support areas. This layered approach ensures that employees have spaces tailored for focused work, collaboration, and social interaction.

From the outset, the project’s objective was clear: to create an inspiring environment that supports the current needs of the teams while embracing the future growth of the organization. Flexibility and purpose were central to our approach. Every design decision sought to maximize adaptability and functionality, responding to the evolving nature of work in a technology-driven company.

In terms of materials and aesthetics, we prioritized a biophilic approach, integrating Portuguese materials and a palette inspired by nature. One of the key design challenges was the building’s low ceiling height. This was addressed by selectively removing ceilings, retaining them only where essential for partitioning and acoustic requirements, which enhanced the sense of openness and allowed natural light to permeate the spaces.

The result is a workspace that balances practicality, inspiration, and well-being. CONCLUSION Lisbon Office embodies a thoughtful, human-centric approach to office design, where every corner is designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and connection to the surrounding environment. This project demonstrates how architecture and interior design can actively support a company’s culture, values, and future vision, making it a landmark example of modern, purpose-driven office design.
