The project involved adapting the existing offices of Linio, the online shopping platform associated with Falabella, located on the 6th and 9th floors of the building where it operated.
Carried out by Contract Workplaces under a turnkey approach, the intervention spanned 640 m² across both floors. A key challenge was that the renovation had to happen while staff continued working on-site, requiring all work to be done during nights and weekends.
On the 6th floor, the renovation updated existing meeting rooms and removed part of the open office to create a modular training room, fully equipped with videoconferencing and audio systems designed by Contract Workplaces’ technology team. Two new boardrooms and informal meeting areas were also created and connected to the operational zone. The cafeteria was expanded by 9 m², and its furniture was renewed to reflect Falabella’s updated brand identity.
At the center of this floor, a chill-out area was created for relaxation and informal interaction. Now a key collaborative space, it features tiered seating, open huddles, phone booths, a high bar counter, and a coffee point where employees can gather casually. The space incorporates biophilic design, with natural plants, wood-like finishes, and monofilament synthetic grass flooring to enhance comfort and connection with nature.
On the 9th floor, the existing cafeteria and part of the open office were removed to create a coworking space. Thanks to mobile and flexible furniture, this zone can be used for multiple purposes—training, meetings, and after-office events. The coworking area includes a reception and waiting area, a reconfigurable Town Hall, informal meeting zones, a focus area, and another coffee point. The furniture features curved sofas and armchairs in pastel colors, mobile whiteboards, and a variety of sliding chairs and tables that ensure high adaptability. This floor also includes a reading room, a video game room, and a cafeteria with capacity for 38 people.
The reception areas on both floors were also renovated with a focus on technology. LED lighting embedded in microcement-finished walls creates a sleek, futuristic look.
The office’s new branding and identity was designed with a strong cultural focus. All meeting rooms and collaborative spaces were renamed using terms from Colombian colloquial language. To further reinforce this local identity, murals depicting Colombia’s flora and fauna were added in the chill-out area, coworking space, and cafeteria.
This integration of local culture, modern design, and functional versatility allows employees to feel part of an organization that respects and values their roots, preferences, and way of life.
